What to expect
The Warmup
My one-hour program starts with teaching you how to warm yourself up in preparation for the workout ahead. Whether you have a favorite cardio-machine or you want to learn how to use some new equipment, I can show you how to make the most out of your time. As time goes by, and you master the warm-up, you may want to show up early to your sessions so that we can get a full hour of sweat in, but I will give you as much time as you need to become proficient on any machine you like.
The Workout
I like to involve the entire body in every workout. Even while focusing on one or two particular muscle groups I find fun ways to involve as many muscles as possible. Through the use of balance platforms like BOSU balls and Dyna-Discs I make the most basic of exercises more productive and dynamic. While working to improve strength in one area these techniques improve balance and muscle coordination throughout your system. These exercises burn more calories by challenging the smaller, synergistic muscles to react and support you in ways that make for better posture and spinal health. This will make you feel more confident and improve your athleticism by preparing you for the unknown situations that life can present to you.
Life doesn’t throw sets of ten or twelve at us and there is hardly one situation where you isolate one muscle group while you are walking around every day. While you are getting into the best shape of your life with an active, exciting, and challenging workout, why not prevent the types of injuries that can occur when we have poor muscle coordination and balance?
My training techniques will bring you to a new level of fitness no matter where you are starting off. Whether your goals are weight loss, general wellness, or building and toning your muscles our program can adapt and grow with you over time.
The Cool Down
We'll end every session with a yoga-based, assisted stretching and massage routine. As a practicing, proficient Yogi I know that a comprehensive stretching session after any workout is essential. It is the final preparation for your transition back to the rest of your day. It will relax you and help restore proper blood flow and viscosity to your muscles.
You'll see many trainers giving a rub down to their clients after a workout but hardly any of them are Licensed Massage Therapists that know what they are doing. I've worked for years as a massage therapist with body builders and athletes that need expert care. My hands hold the sensitivity and know-how to help bring you back into balance.
Let me help you transform your body into a machine you can rely on to support you in accomplishing all that you want to get done in life.
